The release date of Redmi TV in India has been set as 17 March, The brand unveiled on Monday. The Chinese company also sent invitations for the launch event. The new development comes days after Xiaomi India managing director and global vice president Manu kumar Jain talked about launch of Redmi TV in the country. Xiaomi sells Redmi TV in China. So far, the company has been bringing smartphones, power banks, audio accessories and wearables to the Indian market under the Redmi brand.
Without giving any specific details, the Redmi India Twitter account announced the launch date of Redmi TV in the country. In the mail, the brand teases that it offers an “XL” experience. However, it is unclear whether it plans to launch several Redmi TV models in the country at the same time.
Last week, Manu Kumar Jain revealed plans to launch Redmi TV in the country with the launch of the Redmi Note 10 series.
Jain said, “Last year, our brand Redmi took a big step in its journey for new styles.” “We have launched our phone-plus strategy and we have launched many new product types such as power banks, TWS and fitness bands. This year, in 2021, we are proud to launch even bigger!”
In China, there is a list of smart TV models of the Redmi brand, the latest being the 86-inch Redmi Max, which includes a 120 Hz display refresh rate
Redmi TV will be released on March 17 at 12 noon (noon). The launch is expected to take place through a virtual conference that will be broadcast live through Xiaomi’s social media channels.
