The Asus Zenfone 8 series is said to be in operation, and information about the upcoming series has been leaked online. The Zenfone 8 range includes only two models, the Asus Zenfone 8 and Asus Zenfone 8 Pro, and there may be at least two models in the upcoming lineup. The key specifications of the models have been leaked online, and have been said to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, which is not surprising since it is the primary category of Asus.
Twitter @ReaMEIZU tweeted information of various models in the Asus phone range. The post mentions a phone with the ZS590KS model number code SAKE, and will feature a smaller 5.9-inch Full HD + display with an update rate of 120 Hz. According to Abhishek Yadav, this model is mostly Zenfone 8. It is capable of running the Snapdragon 888 SoC and is expected to have multiple camera sensors. Tipster talked about 64 megapixel Sony IMX686 and Sony IMX663 sensors are recommended.
The ZS673KS is another phone with a model number, which may be the Zenfone 8 Pro, but at the moment it is pure speculation. It has a full HD + display with an update rate of 144 Hz and is powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC. The phone can have a 24-megapixel OV24B1Q sensor and rear cameras can have a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686, OM13855 and OV8856 sensor.
Tipster @RealMEIZU additionally talked about two phones coded as Picasso and Vodka, and Picasso is said to have been given the codename ZS675KW. It is listed as a similar 24-megapixel OV24B1Q front camera and rear cameras are expected to have a 64-megapixel Sony IM686 sensor, Sony IMX363 sensor and another OV08A sensor. Asus Vodka phone also runs on Snapdragon 888 SoC. It is not clear whether these phones are part of the Asus Zenfone 8 range or a completely separate line of Asus work. Since the company has not yet officially announced any details.
